"Jumper" for trailer running lights

I have seen an advertisement somewhere recently for a small "jumper" type device which plugs into TT wiring harness and allows the TT running lights to be displayed while the TT is disconnected from the TV.

I know this can be done, not exactly sure how, with a short piece of # 10/12 wire, but really like the idea of the jumper.

Anyone else seen this or have any ideas

Thanks,
John

Numerous threads how to do. Easiest is place 10 amp flat auto fuze not mini but reg.size in 11 oclock and 1 oclock slots in car end of umbilical cord. No need to pur. expensive versions.

Fuse solution -and safe

Hi,
Wondered same when we first got our 25ftss and thought how "brochure like" to sometimes Fire up the running lights in complete quiet.

Push fuse 10-15 amp with slight twisted ends to match the harness angles bridging terminals either side of cord Marker protrusion for a +12v jump to running lights terminal. Could use Less amp fuse if LEDs.

Works great and safe!

If you want to get fancy, you can put a car flasher in the plug instead of a fuse to have flashing lights.

Or you can use a 7-Way Vehicle End Connector to make up one like this with a switch on it.
