How to replace the solar controller.

I need advice on how to replace the solar controller on our 2012 FB FC as it appears that it has gone bad. It is located next to the front wall under the bed and does not appear to be easy to access. Must I remove the bed in order to do it or is there an easier way?

Thanks

is it bad? that controller might still be under the manufacturers warranty. try calling them and they'll walk you through the replacement.

If your 25' FB FC is built like the 20' FB FC that I have, there is virtually no way to get to the front, under bed electronics without taking the mattress out, and the plywood off the top to gain access to things. I have had mine apart several times to do the electrical modifications I wanted to do. PITA, but necessary. Removal of the road side "arm" is also needed to get the plywood out. There are screws in the side of the arm, as well as the bottom. Side screws are hard to find.

I have the 2012 Serenity FB and replaced mine with minimal effort, same location. You do have to move the mattress, but you only need access through both the lifted bed plywood and the little access piece that AS screws in at the head of the bed. I mounted my new controller more to the left side so I can see the lights on it more easily.
