Nice, clean, compact - seems like it has it all.

Hi,
I'm wanting to do this upgrade!

My question is this - does this cover/plug/fuse have a switch? or is it on when it's plugged in and you have to unplug to turn off?
Thanks!

Gosh, I just pushed a fuse into the ends of the umbilical!! I like the other solutions better for "clean" look.

Fuse blowing

I have a 20 amp blade fuse connected to two wires. When I touch pins 3 and 4 of the 7 pin connector, the fuse blows every single time immediately. What gives? Is this somehow an indication of another problem?

I don't know the contacts by pin number and looking back at previous posts on this thread I see some misinformation. I am not an expert but I know what works on our trailer. Look at the picture below. Place your circuit/wire/fuse between the two contacts on either side of the bump and the running lights will illuminate. Another cool thing to do is place a hazard flasher relay between the two pins to make your running lights flash on and off. Drives the campground neighbors crazy!
