Honda eu200i carb rebuild question - random part??? - pic below

I have a 70 Airstream overlander and purchased a used second eu200i to run our AC unit. The generator was running only on full choke. I overhauled the carb and it seems to run well now without choke...little rough, but will try some seafoam and see if that helps.

My workshop isn't the cleanest, and I found the cylinder below when getting ready to put things back together. I can't find anything like it in the diagrams for this unit. Is this something I need to put back in the generator, or just something that got in my way from having a sloppy workshop?

TIA

I think my 2000's had a similar insert thru the case where the carb drains exited

Looks like a support collar for the air cleaner mounting stud:

Specs say it is about 1/4" round, and 7/8" long...?
