Help with trailer jack

I have purchased a '62 Atwood jack for my trailer and need to know how to wire it up. Where do i find the wires? It came with a Bargam switch, can anyone help me out?

I have no personal knowledge of your particular jack, but electrically, it probably has one wire coming from it.

Trace the wires on your breakaway switch to where they are connected to the main trailer wiring. At that point, one of the wires will probably be thicker, and either blue or red in color. That is usually the hot wire. You can verify with a voltmeter. Make sure your Airstream's battery is installed. Hook the one wire from the jack there.

Mechanically, you may want to verify your old jack can be removed without a cutting torch. On my unit, the top mounting plate is bolted, but the lower mounting plate is welded.

Hope this helps,
Tom
