Assume that campground electrical service is less than ideal.

And consider the male end to be a wearing part.

I use the adaptor to 50A as "usually" that outlet has seen less use.

We cooked our 30 amp plug also. It was just like Minno said in our case. The blade has a rivet connecting it to the wire end. The rivet worked loose with all the stresses of plugging in and out. I cut the rubber housing so I could see how it was made inside. I'm glad we noticed it in time. There has been more than one fire caused by loose connections. We used to scan the load centers in the factory I worked it with an infrared scanner to identify hot spots. It helps reduce the chance of fires. Loose connections build resistance and heat.
