half my electric is not working

The one thing I knew was OK in my new to me 1971 AS was the electric. I went in her the other night and the back half of the campers electric is not working. I checked the circuit breakers, they were fine, I turned them off and on again anyway. I unplugged and plugged back in. I could hear it connect. What else can I look for?

You need a test light or a volt meter to check and see if the circuit breaker is indeed closing.

If so, then you need to pull the outlets out and find the open circuit.

If the circuit breaker is not the problem, chances are the problem is going to be in one of the outlets where the circuit is "daisy chained".

12 v DC OK?

If it's the lights it's 12 volt. Check fuses.

Also check to make sure you are getting current on both legs of the 30/50 amp
circuit.

Hi - Similar happened to me in my 2016 FC - made no sense to me what was working and what wasn't. Fridge, TV & DVD player not working, their outlets not marked GFCI. Other stuff like microwave & fans OK. After messing with breakers, power cord, etc., decided to check for GFCI anyway.

After a bit of searching, found one lone GFCI outlet in bathroom - sure enough, it had tripped. pushed in button, all good again.

Doesn't hurt to check the simple stuff. Can't hurt; might help.

Not sure a 71 had gfci circuits.

Make sure their is power leaving the breaker. Check the last working plug away from circuit board or the first dead plug. A screw or wire is loose somewhere between the two. Could be also the plug. Hope this helps. Please let us know what the problem is when you find it

If by back half you mean just the back ceiling lights...the wall mounted toggle switch just inside the entry door operates the back roof light. I thought my wiring was screwed to and when someone pointed that out I felt silly but I just didn't know before then :-) So hit the toogle switch on the wall and if the light doesn't come on go turn the operator on the back light fixture itself one turn and hopefully it's that simple for you to and you'll have light again. The reason they have the toogle by the door is for convenience at night so you can just click the switch in the pitch black of the night rather than feel your way around in the dark for the ceiling mounted light fixture
