GFI Tripping

I'm having a problem with tripping the house GFI when I plug in my 2001 Bambi. I first noticed it on 110v 15 amp. When I plug directly into my 50 amp service there are no problems. When I plug in through a 30amp surge protector it trips the surge protector GFI. I've checked polarity on all plugs -- everything is correct. I've turned off all breakers in the Bambi -- it still trips the GFI. I checked all wiring in the Bambi breaker box -- everything looks okay. The plugs look okay but I haven't taken things apart to check- I would basically have to replace the plug. Does anyone have any ideas or experience with this?

I see that no one has answered your question on the house GFI circuit. I have heard that some of them can be rather touchy. It could be that your GFI breaker needs to be replaced in the house fuse box.

Thanks for the help. I did find the problem -- it turned out to be one lose connection on one outlet -- tough to find but easy to fix.

Glad you found the problem. I encountered a problem with a short in the head of the 30 amp male plug. It kept tripping the GFI at the campground. A well meaning Industrial Maintenance man on the next site ran a jumper from the ground to neutral in my fuse box without telling me and it kept tripping. After I got home I replaced the plug and it still tripped the GFI on the garage circuit. I looked closely at my service manual and discovered there was no such wire mentioned before in the diagrams. I removed it and the problem went away. I found later that it is a common occurence to do this in industrial work that does not involve GFI.
