Fuse Replacement Confusion 2016 20ft FC

Greetings Air Stream Community,

I am fairly skillful in most projects - except any electrical. True confession that I basically shut down my entire house when repairing anything electrical. My electrical weakness extends to the type, amperage, and number of fuses in our 2106 20ft. Flying Cloud. The manual lists approximately ten plus different fuse amperage and types (slow blow fuse, glass barrel, etc.) and trying to buy on-line is confusing.

Can anyone offer a list and simple explanation of fuse types to stock replacement fuses prior to our 6 week trip? I want to be prepared for the unexpected and avoid unanticipated surprises. i am also more than willing to read any suggested material.

As always, I appreciate your expertise.

Hi

Any of he fuses you are likely to blow are pretty standard automotive fuses. They are available just about anywhere you might be and for not a lot of money. Since you generally only blow fuses when poking around in wiring .... don't do that

If you have an inverter, there is a big fat, very expensive fuse involved. Best approach is to ignore it and move on. If you blow it, you won't be able to use the inverter. The most likely reason it would blow is that the inverter has melted down and you can't use it anymore ( = replacing the fuse would do no good).

If that does not give you enough security, then indeed head off to Amazon and start buying some of every fuse listed in the manual. ( or buy a bunch of fuse assortments and make sure they cover what you need). The numbers on the fuse type and the fuse current rating need to match up .
