Also, while pulling down on that screen ring finger lip, use your other hand and try to push the outer ring, next to where you are pulling, inward. That will help take pressure off the molded clips that hold the ring in place. Once a clip or two are dislodged, the screen drops right out.

I installed the Fantastic Fan vent cover two days ago (Relatively easy installation). No concerns about the rain sensor chingaso any more.

My used 2009 25 Int. came with Fantastic Fans. I understand they have a rain sensor which is really a nice feature. Last night it rained and I had the fan cover open (AS was parked in drive way) and when I looked at it this morning it was open again. So I thought maybe it didn't close as if the sensor was not working. But there was not a drop of water inside.

So does it close when it senses water and then open again as soon as it is dry?

Yes, if it's working correctly.

Thought I would add: After cleaning the rain sensor a couple of times it has just about given up the ghost. Last night it did close in a rain, but not until it was pouring and the floor was already quite wet. It also tried to re-open while it was still raining. Guess its time to change out the sensor. Fantastic will send a new sensor and instructions for the repair. Think i'll order a spare to have on hand also.
