Extra wires

First let me say that every thing is working.
Doing a thorough inspection of my new to me 78 minuet 6.0
I plan to replace the old univolt and possibly a new fuse panel.

From the univolt 3 wires. 1 red, 1 white both go where they are suppose to in the fuze box. The 3rd is taped off not hooked to anything.

Disappearing into the wall are (per wiring diagram) are all the wires that should be there colors match. However I have 1 extra 8 or 10 gauge blue coming out the wall and taped off.

Also the three 12v circuits the book shows (purple, pink, yellow) ALL of my 12v stuff is on only the pink. (3 inside light fixtures, step light, water pump, furnace fan, range fan, bathroom outlet). Not sure if it had a roof vent fan because an A/C was put there.
So where do the purple and yellow go to?

All the wires for the running lights, elect brakes, etc are accounted for.

Thanks

The blue wire may be the charge line from the TV. Or the wire feeding power to the break away switch. I can't recall which is which at this time , but that's where I would look first.

Thanks TG

Both of the blue wires you speak of are present and accounted for.

Hello Tiger. When I had my univolt there were three wires exiting from it.
#1 a 6AWG red wire going to the battery +12VDC
#2 a 6AWG white wire going to a common buss in the fuse/breaker area DC common
#3 a small black wire going the fuse/breaker area which is 12VAC, used for the power on indicator light on the control panel indicating the trailer is connected to shore power.
Does your power on light work properly?
This is how it was on a 1988 Excella
If you upgrade to a new converter the 12VAC is not available on the new converters so if you want the power on light to operate I suggest you search the forum for (power on light not operating) for a work around.

Thanks nm1oqrz I did not have a 12vac light. So I won't miss it. My new converter 'progressive dynamics 9245 w/charge wizard' came today and is installed.

As far as my fist post I found the yellow wire hiding in the upper cabinet above the refrigerator. There were what looked like speaker wires there also. Assuming this was where a radio would have been, does any one know where the speakers would go (other end of the wires)?
So I'm assuming the purple wire is hid where the roof fan should be.

Also the blue wire (mentioned in my first post) does not have voltage at it. So I still would like to know where that goes

Thanks

Blue wire comes from TV via 7 prong plug. Will not have voltage in it unless you are hooked up to TV. With engine running in TV it charges your batteries (if hooked up) using the TV alternator.

The blue wire you speak of is accounted for. The blue wire to the breakaway switch is also accounted for.
This is a third blue wire that was looped around itself and taped just like the 12v yellow was for the radio.
My accumtion is it was part of a common harness but not used on my argosy. If that is the case, I would still like to know what option it was for.
