Exhaust Fan above stove

Hello everyone and I hope all the Air-streamers are doing well. I have recently removed the control panel in my 77 Safari to replace the lights and to find the problem with my exhaust fan. The micro switch, part #V3L-118-D9 engages power to the fan and is defective. I have searched the internet and cannot find the replacement. Does anyone know of a vintage electronic parts place or a cross reference to this part. Any help would be appreciated.

Newark, Digi-key, or Allied should have something that will work and probably have something that is a near perfect match. You'll have to go by photos and dimensions. Digi-key alone has 11,000 micro switches from which to choose, surely something will work.

I did some more checking. They were made by Honeywell Sensing and Control. That part number isn't readily available but the V3L series are all similar, differing mainly in lever length, operating force, terminal type, and whether the lever is roller or straight.

There doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason to the numbers within the V3L series so I'm not sure what you have from the part number alone, since I can't find it in the current catalog. There's a data sheet here that may help:

Honeywell v3l datasheet and application note, data sheet, circuit, pdf, cross reference | Datasheet Archive

And here is a list of in-stock V3L series switches that might work, at digi-key. If the link doesn't work just search there for V3L:

Switches | Snap Action, Limit, Lever | DigiKey

OK here we go.

http://stevenengineering.com/pdf/31BS_SUBMINI_MINI.PDF

Page 24 says that the -D8 and -D9 suffixes are the connector type. The -D9 is the larger automotive type quick connector, 1/4" wide by 0.032" thick. The more readily available type -D8 is a smaller electronics-type terminal, .188" x 0.020".
