Hello all, I'm planning on installing a battery monitor in my 28 ft 95 Excella. I'd like to put the monitor panel above the stereo which is between the overhead cabinets above the front window. I'll need to run a few wires from the battery boxes up to the stereo, and figure that if anyone has added electronics to that location, you could save me some time. Are there typically runners in the PVC conduit tubes? Thanks, Pat.
I do have DC power there for the stereo, I need to run a cat 5 cable and power to a Victron battery monitor. All of the stereo wiring comes into the center overhead cabinet out of the ceiling. I have three pieces of interior skin off up front to repair leaking battery boxes and front end separation, and figured now would be a good time to update my 12 volt system.
One 'trick' is to use 'fish tape' or a 'mule tape' to pull a line. To do this, you cut or disconnect one wire (make sure batteries and all power OFF) then tie a line or tape to the wire and pull it.. once you have it pulled down into your open wall, you can 'haul' back the other wire you want..

Thanks CWF, I'm hoping to do it just as You said with the stereo power supply. I'm hoping it is tied into the fuse panel as its close to the batteries.
