Electrical line for 'optional' AC unit

68 Globetrotter 20'
When I purchased this unit last year, it had an electrical line not connected in the area of the breaker panel. It looked like it had been used and maybe cut. Now I have all my electrical connections back together, after a full monte, and I am left with that same electrical line and no place to hook it to.
Question: Did Airstream run the elctricity for the AC and not hook it up to breaker panel or at least a breaker? My unit does not have AC

Thanks
Danny

I'm sure many others here can speak for Airstreams, but when I was an RV tech, working SOBs about in that timeframe, it was common to have an unused wire run from the box to inside the roof cavity next to the vent you removed to install an air-conditioner. Being in Florida, we installed many of them.

That wire is for an Airconditioner.
