Fridge works on electric! Hopefully, it will work on gas as well. There are no propane lines at all on the trailer so I'll have to get the mobile RV guy out soon.

That's what happens when you send something on the iPod. I need to proof my messages better. New grudges may be expensive but I'll bet new FRIDGES are even more expensive!

Yup; You are looking at a Grand or better for a new fridge. If the old one works on electric and you can get the burner to light, chances are good that it will work on gas. Post a photo of the front inside and the back, just curious to see if it is similar to the one in the Twinkie.

I couldn't find a name on the thing but the PO gave me instructions for a Dometic so maybe that's what it is. The freezer compartment door is broken but I can probably rig something up that will work.
I've also posted my completed fuse box - it's messier than the little trailer because I had lots more white wires to deal with and had to use wire nuts. But at least it works.

The fridge looks in good shape in the pics. Can you post pics of the controls and the area where the gas assembly and burner are on the back?
Do you know where this trailer spent most of it's life?

Looking good Lindy! The fuse box looks great too, not messy at all.

The gas assembly and controls are in the front, under the fridge. I've posted pics. The back of the fridge (accessed through the little door on the outside) is as in the previous post of pictures. Not much to see.
The trailer spent most of its life in California and Arizona. Don't know where before that. But the floor wasn't rotten (like the little Oregon trailer).

The fridge is from the days of keeping it simple. The knob on the right appears to be the thermostat for the electric mode and the one on the left is for the gas mode. The toggle switch is to select gas or electric. I had one very similar to it in my old Shasta. If the ammonia side of it is in good shape, which it must be if you have it working in the electric mode you should be able to get it working in the gas mode. When you are ready, I'll be glad to help if I can.

Going, going, gone...
Well, I've sold the little trailer. To a single mom with a teenage son. This is the first trailer she has owned and I think she chose wisely for her first trailer.
It hasn't yet left home but will be moving to PA in the next couple of weeks. It will certainly be sad to see it go but it doesn't make sense to have "his" and "hers" trailers.
Besides, if I find another one to work on it will be easier to justify buying it if we only have one trailer at home.
I cannot say enough thanks for all the help I got on the little trailer. It turned out absolutely perfect and I couldn't have done it without all the knowledge and experience of the folks on the forum.
Thanks.
Lindy

Just make sure to direct her to the Airstream forums after the sale, and have her update us all!
