You should only have one zone visible, unless you have 2 roof units.

When the zone is flashing, it is telling you that it is ready to have the mode selected for that zone.

While Zone 1 is flashing, press the 'MODE' button and you should be able to toggle thru the available selections: FAN, COOL, HEAT PUMP, FURNACE....assuming that the roof unit has been properly installed.

If you have not received the manual for the thermostat, check with your dealer or Dometic.com Dometic

Suggest you go to the Dometic instruction manual for the thermostat, and look up instructions on how to do a reset.

That should take care of your issue.

If you don't have the manual, pm me and I will try and get you one tomorrow. If you have the manual, follow the instructions for a reset and program. Some of us have had to fiddle with the thing in the spring. It does not seem to like the winter. Almost human. Jim

Turn off the thermostat at the on/off button. Then depress the 'MODE' and 'ZONE' buttons together until you see the word 'init' in the top window. This will re-set your thermostat and should solve your problem. you should then turn on the thermostat and try to set the zone 1 for whatever function you like.

If the problem persists and the thermostat does not respond normally, you either have dip switches on the relay control board inside the upper A/C unit that are not set properly or you have a communication error.

Let me know how the re-set goes.

Tino, you should confirm that the phone cord on the back of the thermostat is attached properly. If it is, then check the other end that is located up in the AC unit. You can access this by removing 6 screws and then peek around with the help of a flash light. This end was loose on mine and once it was plugged in correctly, all worked fine. You have to follow the set up directions really carefully to get everything working again. Good luck.

E1 indicates a loss of communication between the CCC (thermostat) and the control board in the ceiling unit.

Since this is a new trailer, it is quite possible that one end of the cable wasn't fully seated during installation and vibration allowed it to wiggle loose. If it doesn't prove to be something that simple, how far are you from a dealer who can address this under the warranty? Electronics seem to be very reliable, but there is an occasional case of infant mortality in new components and that is a reason for warranty.

If the system ever loses 12v power (battery switch is set to store and shore power is unplugged for example) the controller wakes up with a case of amnesia and the previously mentioned reset procedure cures all sorts of weird behavior.

Just remember that this is a Dometic warranty issue (2 year Dometic warranty) and any factory authorized Dometic service center can look at your problem.....not just an Airstream dealer.

Does anyone know what an E7 error message means? It was 31 degrees last night and I couldn't get the Dometic to work properly. When I first turned it in it ran great. Then as I got too warm, I turned the temp down 4 degrees. Then it wouldn't come back on. I'm ready to rip it off the wall. Help please!

It's not your t/ stat, but the 120 VAC power feeding the upper unit. Check your circuit breaker or main power supply. The t/stat operates on 12 VDC.

You lost 120 VAC at some point during the night.

Were you trying to use the furnace or the heat pump? You don't need AC power for the furnace, and 31 is too cold for the heat pump to operate efficiently.

E7 Loss of Power

Thanks for the help. I ended up calling the Dometic help tech line and for $32 of support, the fix was, "Just unplug it, wait 5 minutes, and plug it back in." It worked after that. Ugh!

Thank you for trying to help me. I appreciate it. Kelly
