Dead Converter - 2017 25' International
INVERTER/CONVERTER issue (2017 International 25).
Doing my spring shake down now before heading out on Friday of this week and I left the furnace on overnight (I’m plugged into power), when I went into the airstream on Saturday morning the Furnance and all things on DC power were without power (water pump, lights, fridge, furnace), but all wall outlets and microwave were fine.
Things I checked -
* No tripped breakers - Shut off everything and reset all of them just in case
* Fuses on the inside of the fuse box all looked fine, Battery fuse looked fine too.
* Tried plugging into my TV (disconnected from shore power) to see if it was a battery power issue, still nothing.
* Pulled out the Parallax Power Supply Converter/Charger to see if there was anything visible from the back/bottom... nothing (someone in another forum said if converters go out that there can be a sear mark).
* Checked the battery fluid - all good there
All things are leading me to feel the converter is dead, but I'm not a pro.
So, it's Sunday and I feel very limited as to what I can do. I did have a battery upgrade/inverter upgrade on my list but it wasn't something immediate. My challenge right now is that we have a trip this week... Do I buy a replacement to the unit I have (praying that's the issue)?
The closest Airstream dealer that I'll use is about 1.5 hours away, so if this is something I can fix, I would rather do it myself then loose at least a day, if not more if they need to drop-ship parts, in the process.
Any help is much appreciated!
