on page G-3 it's a MagneTech 7300 (Paralax came along a bit after the manual came out).

The 7300's turned into the 8300's via a key click in the marketing department. The 7345 converter turned into an 8345 with the same key click. Before or after the key click, it's a basic two step (constant current followed by fixed voltage) charge cycle device. It may or may not have a float step after that. If it does the utility of that step (as implemented) is *highly* suspect.
Simple answer - replace it.
