29 stumps

When I was in the Army (82d ABN) I had a chnce to get the tour of 29 stumps from my cousin who was in the USMC at the time...the country club of the corps!

When I was a Sergeant I used to tell my guys that the only stupid question was the one they didn't ask...so.... How good is the battery?

are you on the road?

Did you isolate the problem? Hopefully so. We are actually heading down to San Felipe tomorrow in our Navigator to check on the house progress-- a high speed 4 day run. We will wave across the Sea of Cortez to you folks
Thanks again for the thoughtful bar restock. Debbie

The same thing happened to mine...god voltage until I applied any load. I called PD, asked for tech support, and talked to a very pleasant technician. He told me the converter was bad and that the could overnight me a rebuilt one for $75. Since we're in Quartzsite with no address, I bought one at the Gambler's the same day and replaced it. I may have my old one repaired and keep it as a spare.

I did call Randy and had him send me a WFCO (this was the second PD converter that had failed one me). Installing it was a pain since the WFCO does not have dual positive and negative terminals as the PD does, also the ground is on the opposite end. Also the WFCO is taller and narrower than my PD so it was not a simple replacement.

After a few hours and a few trips for supplies, got it installed and it worked fine.

We're currently at the Salton Sea, headed to Quartzsite tomorrow or Sunday, then to Mexico.
