Convert Frt Vent to Power on 2007 25FB

I have a 2007 25' Safari FB with a standard ceiling vent in the bedroom. I would like to replace it with a 12v Fantastic fan vent. Does anyone know if there is a source of 12v DC in the ceiling area near the vent that can be used to run the fan? Has anyone run a dedicated 12v DC line into the ceiling when replacing the vent with a power vent? I have heard that some folks have tapped into the lighting, but I do not want to do that as I don't want to leave the lighting on when the fan is operating.

Wiring should already be there.

Wiring IS NOT there. It should be, but is not. We have a 27FB and I did the same thing. The plastic dome disintegrated, so I wanted to replace with a Fantistic Fan. I assumed there would be a power source, but there were none. I tapped the lights, but as you state, the lights had to be on for it to work.
The next year at Alumapalozza, I asked the head of the service dept about a power source. He told me there were none and had no suggestions as to how to run one.
So, what I did....
The wall to the front of the shower had rattled loose and fallen forward a few years earlier. It had be tacked in place with 3 staples only. I had repaired with screws. So I removed the screws to give me access to the area behind it. I then drilled rivets from one panel of the interior skin. I then removed my power vent to allow easy access to the area and strut between the vent and the area behind the wall. I drilled a hole in the strut, ran a wire from the vent to the area behind the wall and then to the 12v outlet on the outer wall by the TV connection. Tapped into the 12v and tested everything, put it back together and all is now as it should have been for a $1.50 in electrical cord.
Had my wall not have fallen out on its' own, I may have been more hesitant.

Hope this helps.

Don...Thanks for the informaion. My original vent cover also disintegrated and I installed a Maxx cover to protect it from the sun but it restricts how far you can open the vent and the top of the Maxx cover has a crack in it. Shortly after posting the item on the forum I sent an e-mail to Airstream service and received a reply that a power vent over the front bd was an option in 2007 and the wiring harness should be in the ceiling. I'll hold off buying a new Fantastic Fan for the front until I find the harness in the ceiling. I post if I find it. Thanks
