Question Control Panel Wiring

I have just installed a new Inteli-Power converter and the Controll panel in my 35' Excella is not lighting up and functioning like it should. There was a small guage gray wire coming out of the old converter which I don't know how to replace. I have read in some of the threads that you can replace this by installing a 12 volt transformer. Where does the other lead from the transformer go to, only one wire ran to the 12 volt fuse panel.
