Charger questions from a newbie

okay, my 85 excella has a hummer charger. are new(er) chargers (replacements) more efficient? quieter? as robust as what AS put in their 85's?
Has anyone relocated their hummer outside of the AS? seems fairly straight-forward to me to locate the dang thang on the tongue. Watertight enclosure for sure, with ventilation, but that would get rid of the hum and heat.
what say you veterans?

This spring I replaced my Univolt with an Inteli Power 9200 with Charge Wizard.

Perfect silence.

i would have a problem with putting a 120vac circuit on the tongue , gfi would be nessesary, also would be prone to tripping. could run wiring under front and then up into coach? easier to seal.converter would be difficult to protect and still vent,a lot of water and debris in transit. most converters won't tolerate the moisture.

I just purchased the new Inteli-Power 9245C, and am now wondering what kind of fuse panel to look for on ebay? Any model numbers or suggestions?
