brake controller in Suburban

Ive got a 2003 suburban with the tow package, do I still need to get a brake controller???? Ive got an airstream with electric brakes and dont see how the suburban can control the brakes unless Im missing something.

Yes, you will need a brake controller. The tow package is usually limited to mechanical upgrades, such as increased cooling and alternator, as wella s tow hitch and wiring.
Brake controllers are usually not included. I only know of certain Ford packages that include an integrated brake controller.
Do a search, there are many popular choices.

Yes, you'll need one. If the truck has hydroboost brakes, you won't be able to use the Jordan controller, however, the Prodigy works great and the Suburban should have come with the pigtail that connects a brake controller to the trucks power grid. When you connect your Airstream to the light connection, the brakes should work via that connection as long as you have a brake controller.
