Blowing Fuses When Plugging Into Shore Power

1971 Tradewind

Having an issue where I blow #2 (Trailer battery +) each time I plug into shore power.

Everything works fine on battery power, or shore power, otherwise. It's just when I plug into shore power I snap the fuse.

Any ideas?

The fuse that is blowing connect the converter to the battery. The wire from the converter attaches to the rear of the that panel. My guess is that either your converter is pushing too many amps or the battery has a short. You can take the battery to an auto store and have it tested. If your converter is an original, I would replace that anyway. Even when they are working correctly they can damage batteries by over charging and boiling.
