Well, I think I am going to go with a fairly short power cord, 15 ft or so. This is a pic of the corner where the cord will have to be stored. It looks like there will be too many things to get caught on even though I plan to clean things up a bit.

I did find a pic of the old load center and it did have a ground wire. It just got lost in "the pile". I took about 400 pics while I was tearing the old 66 apart. The best move I ever made.

Our 78 had the permanently attached, 25ft power cord that lead out of the bumper...Here's what I did to 'upgrade' to a removable, late style shore power cord:

I don't know if this would be applicable to your particular AS...It was a relatively easy project, and it's a BIG improvement when dealing with the power cords!

I use a short 'adapter' cord at home that plugs into the AS and has a male 20amp connector on the other end...I use a heavy 10/3 extension cord from the adapter to the house for power, and leave the heavy 30amp RV cord stowed away for use on the road...
