batteries

Hi, I own a 23 ft 2012 serenity model, The Batteries don't hold a charge. I talked to the dealer and was told what I suspected. I am about to buy new batteries. I am kind of stuck because I will be camping for the next few weeks.
Is there any suggestions before I buy? everything works fine when I use the generator and or have it hooked up to the truck.
I have to admit I neglected keeping it charged over the winter.

There are many threads in the forum on battery replacement. You can follow this link to a recent discussion, perhaps answering your question. BTW, you can use the search function on the page and just enter "Battery" to find these and other discussions.

There are many options.. others have searched out what works best for them. One member here, Lewster, is the man to get your facts from... he can help with Solar, too.... I think Lifelines are the make of battery he uses and recommends. The fact they can take deeper discharges and multiple cycles without damage.

Back in the day, we used 'tractor' batteries... huge back breakers... but today, the technology puts them to shame.

Thanks for the advice and the forum, I replaced my batteries with some Delco batteries, everything is working well. They are American made. As long as American made products are available I wouldn't think of buying anything else.
