bathroom exhaust fan wiring

have been trying to figure out wiring for the bathroom exhaust fan for my 1970 Caravanner. the pink and white wires are the power in wires. not sure if there was a ground originally or not. on the back side of the triangular plate is a cylindrical piece that has the black wire coming off and then out into view. there are 2 solder points on the front of that triangular plate but just not sure which wires attach where. can recall that the push button relay has off position, hi speed and low speed. anyone know how to connect??
