Baraldi Fuse

I just bought a 2012 International that needs a new fuse for the Baraldi vent. The previous owner did not have the fuse for me to find another just like it.

After searching for hours and hours online trying to find specifics, can someone tell me which specific fuse to buy (brand, size, store, internet store)? All the information that you can provide would be helpful.

Thanks!

I checked my Beraldi. It says it is 6amp max fuse. Have you checked your DC distribution panel for the missing fuse / circuit...which would indicate what type of fuse you need. A 12v 6amp fuse should be available at an auto parts store.

The fuse that needs replacing is the one above the vent that is screwed in. Forum posts indicate that this is now supposed to be a 5 amp fuse but was originally a 3.5 amp fuse.

Baraldi Fuse

Hank,

I have a 2012 FC. While camping, a couple of month's ago, I ran into a fella with a unit just like mine. While talking, he told me about having blown the fuse you're talking about and how it took him quite some time to find the fuse he needed. I asked for the specs and he provided the following.

3.15A 250V Glass Slow Blow Fuse (TTL-A-027-5EA)

These can be purchased on E-Bay:

5X 3 15A 250V Glass Fuses Slow Blow Time Delay GDC 3 15A T3 15A 3 15 Amp | eBay

I hope this helps,

Chip

You can get the OEM fuse from your friendly Airstream dealer. You can also get LED replacements for the halogen bulbs in the range hood, which will lower current draw and reduce the chance of blowing another fuse.

Blew the fuse in my Baraldi also. After much searching, found a replacement 3.5 amp at Radio Shack. Then, of course, I read on the forums about replacing with a 5 amp.

Airstream technical staff approves the 5 amp mini fuse and Radio Shack typically has them in stock.

Directly from Airstream service:

Hello, The fuse in the Baraldi range hood is a 5 x 20, 5 amp 250 v slow blow fuse. Here is a link to Radio Shack.

If I remember correctly it's either under the metal filter for the vent or just behind it on the right rear side when you're facing it in front of the oven. It's one of those old classic kinds you unscrew. I changed it once in 2013 and can't remember for sure...not near the trailer or I'd take a pic for you.

When I received my new 2012 FC the first problem I had was the stove vent blowing fuses. The AS dealership replaced the motor and it did the same thing, finally the AS dealership called AS/Baraldi and came to the conclusion that the fuse needed to be a 5amp mini fuse. After that no issues.
