Talking Atwood Converters to replace Univolt?????

pulled a univolt out of my 75 tradewind this afternoon was getting a .04 on the voltmeter....

a local dealer on ebay has Atwood converters for sale....a 55 amp for 145.00

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-1...temZ4628840706

just wondering if you guys have had any experience with these converters...atwood makes just about everything for the coaches yet not much on the forums about Atwood converters....also i will be trying to use 2 12v batteries

thanks

Iota converters cost the same or are cheaper and they have 3-stage charging. This does not, at least according to that auction info. WFCO's do too and cost only a little bit more. The Iota's have really cool shiny cooling fins, too. Go to solarseller.com for an Iota and bestconverter.com for a WFCO.

Have not seen any Atwood converters out there yet. Lots of Parralax, WFCO, Iota and Intellipower. Whatever you get, make sure that it at least 55 amps for a dual battery set-up and 3 stage 'smart charging' is a must!!!
