Atkinson Solar controller

My solar controller display PVDM4-LC almost always indicate 0% battery life. Doesn't matter if in full sun or not. Main charger indicate house batteries in float status and voltage is >12.7V. No change when shore power is removed and the solar should be charging at less than 12V. The display flashes indicating low battery voltage even when battery is above 12.5V. Is something wrong with the solar panel, charger or display?

I contacted Lewster offline and he thought this means a faulty solar controller. After a bit more digging and troubleshooting, I was able to get the display working by applying light pressure to the potentiometer on the back of the circuit board of the controller display and seems to operate as described in the literature. . See picture. Sometimes the display will revert to abnormal behavior but then starts working after applying the same pressure. Wiggling the cable does not affect it. There must be a defective solder joint somewhere. Will look into a replacement. The red cirlcle was shifted in the photo to the connector. The pot is just obove the connector in this photo.

The RJ connector and the crimp inside the connector would definitely raise suspicions in my book as the likely culprit. I would try reattaching a new connector to the cable if possible.
