Airstream Recall Notice

Airstream Recall Notice
I received a recall notice this week from Airstream. Apparently there is the possibility of a loose electrical connection on the power inlets in my 2014 25FB Flying Clouds. I live a few hours away for the nearest Airstream dealer and was looking for some insight on the issues. Has anybody looked into fixing the connection on their own? I have not removed the inlet plug yet but I do like to fix thing myself. I always feel that I will do a better longer lasting repair than anyone not having my level of investment. I really enjoy camping in our Airstream but I’ve had few issues to fix along the way. Mostly small thing I’ve fixed like a water leak under sink, exhaust fan in shower. I still need to look at the light near steps as it works on and off. The recall letter said it’s a 30 minute fix with a two hour drive each way from home. I would rather spend that weekend camping. Any insight would be helpful.

DIY makes good sense!

We're with you on this. I will call the dealer, tomorrow. I suppose that the only issue might be resistance via an insurance carrier in a future fire and no recall "sign-off." Hmmm?

We have a 2012 FC and the LED light didn't come on when plugged in. I called Furrion directly and they sent me a plug to my house and installed it myself. Only 3 wires no big deal. This was about a month ago. The plugs are warranted for 5 years.
BTW, I couldn't tell anything wrong with the screws or pins and it twist lock fine.
For those that live far from your dealership, you might give Furrion a call tomorrow.
