Adding a battery (or two)

We're fast approaching ownership, but looking at our available information, I'm a little curious about the electrical system in actual use.

Even if we get a unit with 2 batteries, would it be fairly easy to add another 1 or 2 to the setup to optimize our "off the grid" life?

I would think so, provided you have a big enough converter/inverter/3-stage charger to keep them adequately charged.

And you don't exceed the load capacity of your axles.

A 55 amp converter will keep 2 group 24 batteries charged nicely (standard on the 19CCD0. If you go for ....say 4, I might upgrade to a 75amp model. Also, consider using AGM batteries. They are sealed and can be used in any orientation and are especially suited for indoor use as they do not gas and require less ventilation than liquid filled types.
