AC Compressor works-no fan!!

So I am camping in the Tallahassee area and it is hot, rainy and very humid. I come back to the trailer and it is warm inside. The compressor comes on but the fan doesn't work. Is it frozen??? Turned everything off for about 15 minutes and put a small portable fan on the interior box. Never had a fan quit before, had compressor's quit but never a fan. Any suggestions? It's gonna be a sweaty night with no AC. Know of any mobil RV mechanics in Tallahassee? Thanks-

Pap

WITH THE POWER OFF does the fan spin bby hand? a critter might have dropped something in there to keep the fan from turning.

Well now we have a real problem. The "RV Doctor" has changed out the fan motor, new capacitor and mother board. Still doesn't work. When the wall 'stat is turned on just fan or on cool it just makes a slight noise but little or no fan movement. When the fan is hooked up to 110, works great. Any suggestions? RV Doc is calling Dometic. Thanks-

The RV doctor screwed up. Bypass the wall thermostat. You should be able to find a schematic. You are probably half way into it dollar wise to buy a new unit. Make sure the cap is wired correctly.

Apparently one of the wires was pinched at the factory and finally wore through on the motherboard. A new motherboard, new fan and new capacitor and all is well again. You are right, it was about 1/2 the cost of a brand new AC, but so far so good.
