AC blowing circuits
Hi folks, we are new to owning an AS...so far we haven't had any problems with our new to us 1992 excellent 29'. The AC was working off our shop plug, then all of a sudden, every time I turned on the AC it would blow the circuit. Unknown to me, I was then informed our circuits are only 15 amps, so of course the AC won't work (wish I was told that earlier)....anyway, hubby just tried to plug into our Honda 3000i, and when he tried to turn on the AC, the generator went into high gear and promptly turned off. I'm thinking we have a problem, hubby thinks we just need to plug into a 30 amp outlet...any thoughts?

There is probably a problem with the air conditioner.
My ac will run all day on a 15 amp circuit.
It for sure should run on a 20 amp circuit.
Something is wrong.

Do you have the water heater on or off? Is the refrigerator running on 120 volt power or is it off? Is the converter/charger operating and trying to charge the batteries and run 12 volt items such as lights?
Those things, coupled with the AC can certainly overload a 15 or 20 amp circuit or even a Honda 3000 generator.
Try shutting down everything but the AC unit by turning off their circuit breakers in the trailer and see what happens.

Turn OFF the eco throttle before turning on the air conditioner.
Make sure the fridge is locked on LP or turned off.
Make sure the water heater is off or on LP.

When you say running off your shop. Is that circuit a 20 or 30 amp circuit? How long is the complete length of the circuit from the breaker to the trailer?
First thing is to test the voltage at the trailer. If the above conditions are substandard you are running low voltage and thus high current. Breakers are designed to trip at 80% of rated load. It could be a weak, aged, breaker.
Determine the electrical situation before going further.
