A reset battery

As many of you know, Airstream march's to their own drummer, and to hell with the rest of the RV World.
Case in point;
The two batteries are mounted in the same orientation, requiring removal of a lot of connection wiring, so that one may access the curbside battery to check the water level, and the specific gravity. [ATTACH]280364[ATTACH]see atttached photos. One is the OEM installation, the other is after I switched one around.
As you can see, the curbside battery caps are now accessible.
I also wrapped spiwrap around the cables where they could chafe, and short out in the future.

Look after your equipment, it will look after you.

Ideally, you would want to have all the positive external connections going to one battery and then connect the external negative connection to the other battery to ensure the load is shared equally among the two batteries. Your configuration definitely makes sense to gain access to the fill ports!

I also marked the cables with one red tape band for battery one, positive, one white band for battery one negative, two red bands for battery two positive, etc.......
That way I don't need to remember where everything goes.
