50 Amp to 30 Amp shore power cord

I am looking for a shore power cord that will attach to the trailer with 50 Amp connection but to the power supply with a 30 amp plug. Would prefer to not lug around the 50 Amp cord. If you know where to find one or have purchased yourself please let me know. Saw one on Amazon, but the reviews concerned me regarding actually attaching to a trailer power outlet.
Thanks,
SS

The 30a breaker in the pedestal protects the lighter power cord, so it is plenty safe as long as you don't put a 30 to 50 adapter on the pedestal end. I know a lot of friends who routinely use a 30a cable when they don't need 2 ACs running. Lot easier than fighting with the heavier cable.

Check Camping World as they have a 50 amp female to 30 amp male adapter for connection at your trailer 50 amp port. Pair that "dog bone" with a lighter weight 30 amp extension cord, also available at CW. Remember GIYF!

Thanks for your responses, however the "dogbone" will not hook up at the power outlet of the trailer. I am looking for a 50 amp to 30 amp power cord, to hook from outlet on the Airstream to the pedestal.
Thanks,
SS

I apologize if i have been confusing in my request.

With you on this one. Use 30 amp service unless I need 50.

Go to Amazon and google it. I got one there that is working quite well. Also has a LED light on the cord to tell you that you are connected. They have them in various lengths. I like the 30amp one because yes it is much easier to hook up. Really don't need 50amps unless you want to run both AC units.

Thanks for your response, does it lock into your Airstream like the original?
Best,

Camco sells them through most RV dealers. I know the place I work sells them, and I recommend getting one to everybody with 50 amp service to their RV, regardless of brand of RV.
The thing that irks me about them is, I had custom-made one especially for one of our customers a few years ago, and the Camco rep happened to show up while I was showing the customer. A few months later, Camco was selling them. I'm sure it was a coincidence...

Buy a 30 amp cord and replace the trailer end with a 50 amp female to fit the trailer 50amp male. Then all you have to do is place a jumper wire of 10 ga to connect the two 50 amp legs inside the female connector. I made my own. but there are dog bones available to do the same thing.

adapter

This may be what you are looking for but kind of expensive.

If not they have just about every variety 50 to 30.

This one with a 30AMP extension cord is the way I would go. That and the first dogbone that was posted in case you need both cords for length.
