40 amp fuses for Univolt

I have a 1971 Airstream Caravel, anyone have a source for the 40 amp fuses in the Univolt? They appear to be a standard Buss glass tube fuse but I can't find anything larger than a 35 amp locally or online. Thanks.

AGU 40 and 50s should not be too hard to find but many RV dealers quit carrying them because most new switch converters use blade fuses. Shoot me your address via PM and I'll send you a couple. I have quite a few of them.

Home Depot has fuses of this size in the electrical department. You may want to check there...

I JUST found some right after I posted the question. At tjtrailers.com. I appreciate the offer though, thanks much.

68 Overlander,
My 1970 Univolt model 35 and also my friend's 1971 overlander have BUSS AGS 40 amps fuses which have a diameter of .283". Regular fuses sold at most stores are .250 diameter. We can't find any of the AGS type. Do you have some we could purchase?

I found some a few years back at an autoparts store Murray's
Autozone may have them as well, I think they are used in some car sterio applications.

Frenchbern,
I only have the buss AGU 40 and 50. AGS is popular in audio applications like loechli said so maybe your local car stereo shop can hook you up.

I tried them and no luck. I can't find them on the internet either? I am not too good at surfing. Guess i'll have to use the smaller diameter fuses.

I found some on the net they were NOS parts. Try http://www.fuseone.com/search.asp?search=AGU40
It appears that Bussman does not make this type of fuse anymore.
They do have a circuit breaker as a replacement part for this rateing.
Try a search on Hi- Amp, it is an interesting option.

Gary, I saw those breakers before and really like them but i'll have to build a buss distribution panel. That is a winter project for me and i'll have to build a couple of them since a friend of mine will want one also. Thanks for help.
