One of the Romex wires hangs down and then goes off to the left. It goes between the inner skin and a partition, past the water heater on the skin side and through another partition which is then accessible from the roadside compartment behind the reel compartment and the water heater outside door. It then goes through the left side of the compartment partition wall, drops down a few inches and goes into a galvanized electrical box. A line runs out this junction box and into the corded reel. Lets see what reel pictures I have:

if he is not getting power. the reel has some brushes in it and they are not rated at 30 amps and as a result the hot side burns out . had that problem one miserable hot day in chattanoga. i took my reel out after i replaced the contacts twice . after you remove the reel you can wire direct to the power panel and shove the drop cord in the cavity where the reel was. no more problems. did the same on my motor home . lol

The reel is nice but if I had continuous problems with the thing after I replaced or rebuilt it then I probably would just wire into the box at the rear and store the cord in the bumper. While there is a ledge the reels sit on, there is probably room to wind the cord up and store it where the reels had been if removed.

i liked the reel but i didnt like the times that junk quit on me labor day weekend in chuchu town . i was soaking wet my wife was giving me the $%^&^& about why i couldnt get this thing fixed.it was about ten pm dark no volt meter jurry riged a light bulb to trouble shoot. six months later in orlando same old same old. last time i was in dolly wood pigeon creek . when i got home it was history . the big green can got it . i didnt give my motor home the chance to leave me swetting i trashed it the first week. lots of room in that compartment , and you got a door to hold it in .. i had a 78 excella 500 and it looked new inside and out. when i sold it the new owner called and wanted the reel if i had it. i really get up tight about a power reel for 30 amps and having 20 amp brushes. i couldnt get 30 amp brushes for that unit. if you ever take one of themapart the wire on the brushes is about 14 agw stranded. o well my 2cents worth. lol

I was lucky that when I had my elec. problem it was not raining. I would have surely electrocuted myself. It was in the low 90's outside and around 99 inside the trailer without A/C. This was my wife's first trip out with me and she was not a happy camper. I've crossed my fingers that nothing happens like that again.
