30/50 AMP Connection

We will be making our second trip with our new to us AS next weekend. We will be staying at a State Park. The electrical hookup says 30/50 AMPS. But when I reads the details it said 50 AMPS. Is there a way hook a 30 AMP plug into a 50 AMP receptacle with an adapter of some kind?

I also saw sites that where listed as 20 AMPS. Am I correct in assuming that would work for everything except the A/C? Is an adapter needed for this type of hookup?

One thing I know..... is that I don't know!

Thanks!

There is a simple adapter to connect 30 amp trailer to 50 amp source. You should carry one all the time as oftentimes power poles have both and the 50 amp outlet is typically in better shape.
20 amp is likely to be a simple household style outlet. There are adapters for those as well. Should be adequate to run everything except A/C.

It's exceedingly rare to find a 50 amp only pedistal. They usually have 3 provisions 50/30/15 combined in one box.

You need something like this:

Camco RV 18" PowerGrip Dog-Bone Electrical Adapter - Walmart.com

I also keep one with me at all times.
