3 way switch

We cannot get our 89 Limited to work in the camp power only selection on the 3 way switch. Does anyone have a wiring diagram that we could see.

switch

can't help w/ wiring diagram but, if you have a general knowledge of electrical stuff, you could take switch out of box and switch to the 3 different positions and each time you do this, meter the switch to see if the switch is the problem. there should be 0 ohms for each position selected and an infinite resistance (open) for the ones not selected. if you have an open condition w/ the selected position your switch is bad. hope this helps.

Wow, I have never even seen such a switch. Do all modern Airstream have this? What does it do?

With the switch in right hand position, the trailer runs off of camp power (110 volt, 30 amp) and charges the batteries. When the switch is in the center position, the trailer runs on the batteries and when the switch is in left hand position you are supposed to run the trailer on camp power only. I can't get my trailer to work on the camp power only position.

Thats correct, we have solar panels on the roof, but we don't use them when we camp as we camp most of the time at a site with full hookups.
