2nd battery for Basecamp?

We are picking up our Basecamp next week. I was told there is room for a second battery. Is this something I need to get? It has solar panels. This is our first trailer so any thoughts are appreciated.

I would love to hear opinions as well. The solar is 160W. Anyone with experience with one AGM battery and 160W solar? Would love to hear those numbers translated into real world usage, while boondocking maybe?

Just talked to a dealer. They indicated there was no place to put a second battery and the solar was only 80W. The sales guy was rather new. Was I mis-informed?

We were looking at a 2017. Perhaps the 2018 is upgraded?

I looked at the owner's manual for 2018 Basecamp, and it states there is a location for a 2nd battery. I have not yet taken delivery of my 2018 basecamp as it is getting a new refrigerator venting fan and a 2nd battery installed, according to the dealer.

I have 2019 Basecamp X with solar option. It's 160 Watts and has 2 rectangular panels on top.
Also comes with a zamp port for additional backup solar hookups.

There is a space for the 2nd battery - Dealer wanted like 550 or something for an additional battery and 370 for labor. Probably can do that myself.

They had to call and figure out what I was talking about like most dealers.(2nd battery) They should read the forums more! And I believe it's in the spec sheet at airstream

Hope that helps
