2nd AC

Just curious if anyone has successfully added a second a/c to their trailer. If so, what electrical changes did you make, did you use existing wires, was it costly? We are thinking of adding a/c in bedroom.

Without a 6.5 kw gen set, two roof airs would require 50 amp service, that's prolly why the PO bailed on the the second one. I'd say "costly", huge, big time.

I added a second air...
I didn't rewire the trailer for it, simply added a 20A extra inlet and another small breaker box...would I do it the same way again? YES!

What I was getting at was cutting a hole in the coach, buying the pan and the AC, having the ac installed, running the drain tube to daylight, running wiring to the new panel could be cost prohibitive, except for you high rollers.

Very helpful! You all have given me something to think about. We live in Texas and it seems like a second a/c is necessary. Now for the install!
