Put it on the smaller unit and it'll work great at sea level. If you go up in the mountains, the power output will fall and it may or may not work. We were at 3,500 ft in Oregon for the Great Eclipse and our Honda 2000 would not run our 15,000 btu AC. But it worked great at sea level.

Google Easy Start for info and it's a DIY if you are comfortable reading simple wiring diagrams. Otherwise see the service dept at your local RV dealer.

Another question from a newbie.I'd like convert a yamaha 2400 gen to propane and hopefully use the 2 tanks on my AS. The us carb site asks if they are a high pressure system or a low pressure. I think if they're tanks than they are high pressure. but somewhere I read many rv's step this down internally already to a low pressure system. Anyone know which it is?. Alot to learn here, but it sure is fun.

It really depends on how you want to connect them, and if your particular year/model of trailer has factory an installed propane quick disconnect for accessories or not. I have a 2011 22FB, it did not get this from the factory but i will be adding a quick disconnect myself.

If you are using a quick disconnect then it is on the low pressure side of the auto-switchover regulator. The other option is that you would unscrew the regulator from one of your propane bottles, then you would need a high-pressure regulator to go from tank pressure to the generator.

(edit and noticing you have a a '17 Flying Cloud 26', which almost surely has a propane quick disconnect up under the A-frame)
