1960 Tradewind 12v help

I am trying to get my 12v interior lights to work without having to get into the walls. All I can find is a blue wire coming out of the wall in the front near where the water pump was. Can I tie my hot wire from the battery in to that? Is that even the right wire? I am not very good with electrical, but I can do the basics. Is it better to just run new wires? I need help (in more ways than one!)

Thanks,
Dave
