12 volt distribution panel

Hi,

I'm looking for a new 12 volt panel--the univolt system is missing from my airstream, so I can't salvage the old one. Already bought a new converter.

My trailer is a 1973 31', but I have a feeling most will work.

Could throw you some cash or . . . trade?

Thanks!

Are you looking for the one Airstream used, or an after market substitute?

The after market, will not have terminals for the ammeter, or for the power on light.

I think a (working) original would be best. I haven't done this particular project before, and I would KNOW that I had the right thing. It also seems like a lot of people are getting rid of broken or noisy univolts and might part with the panel.

That said, if there were an effective, inexpensive comparable product I'd use that. Searched forums and haven't found much. Especially on the inexpensive point.

A new panel from Airstream, is expensive.

After market fuse panels are not compatible with the control panel up front.

Perhaps you can locate a panel from a discarded old Univolt.

I would go with a generic panel. There is no magic in the old one, only fuses and connections. You will not have a power on lug, but that is only supported from the univolt. The amp meter is no big deal, many don't work anyway.

Here is one that should work: 9 Position Fuse Block

Thanks. I've gone ahead and bought the one from Best Converter recommended here. Is there anything else I'm going to need for this project besides the converter and the fuse panel?
