12 v system in a 1960 flying cloud

Bought a 1960 Flying Cloud 22'

All of the 12v components outside of the inner walls had been removed, just looking for ideas,of what I should be looking to buy to get it all up and working again

Thanks, Cabmike

Everything 12V is gone? Wow.

Think about what you want to do, and then think about how to do it.

You're gonna want tank gauges plus interior and exterior lights. You'll need to run exhaust fans in the kitchen and bathroom (if so equipped) and maybe overhead vent fans. You'll want a radio, maybe a TV, 12V outlets, USB charging ports, and maybe a DVD player or whatever. Leave yourself a place to connect an inverter, too.

There's also a 120 volt to 12 volt converter slash battery charger that you'll need, along with battery cables and connections.

The best wiring components are built for marine duty; you're gonna want fuses for everything (so a fuse block). Blue Sea makes some good stuff.

Switches, wiring terminals, crimpers, heat shrink tubing, and of course - wire.

And when you're running wires, run extras. You'll think of something to do with them sooner or later.

As I have heard from a lot of people on this forum we bought this at first glance thinking we may put a few thousand into it to get up to speed< WRONG ended up doing a full shell off restore. All the 12v wiring is still in the walls but nothing else and going to do all of the 120v as well panel and all

A few choices but an all in one Power Center makes sense but there are other ways to do it. I like DrBoyds point about running extra wire. Easy to snip off if not needed.
