We parked our AS, put out our sign, and they just showed up!
Then they broke into our AS and drew pictures of themselves all over our bedsheets and jammies.

I figure the flamingo yard art was a kind of graceful-elegant addition to gardens everywhere in the fifties, and they must have migrated over to the trailer parks like KOA etc. What do the rest of you think? The ground here in Oklahoma, well you just can't stick em in the ground, cause it's too blasted hard...Why is bubble gum pink?

I never thought I'd have a flamingo, but I was looking for a spot in a campground and Scrapirony-2 (Mike) stopped me and handed me a little pink flamingo and now it's wedged between the dashboard and the windshield. You just can't avoid it.

Look's like Mike and Tracy's MoHo in post # 17.

Yup.....it is indeed, Gene. I couldn't resist this photo opportunity at the Dead Horse 3 Rally. It is the most flamingo-decorated Airstream I have ever seen....and, that's just the outside!

I'm So Texas Trailer Trash! (Or so my daughter loves to tell me)

Anyone know if chenele (sp?) bedspreads ever were / still are made with a large'ish pink flamingo woven into the center? Where to look / buy without spending the rest of my natural born life surfing the net . . . ?

Flamingos-freedom

Flamingos and vintage just go together. I had been thinking about getting some "ink" for a long time and then I saw something similar to this and customed designed my flamingo. People ask, "why"-I think there are many reasons:I no longer have to "set an example" for my kids, I am no longer "responsible" for presenting a professional image, I don't have to "prove" myself or live up to someone else's standards and I am all about FUN and making the most of my golden years. I also hope someday someone says, "Did you see that old lady's tat? She must have been something in her day."

Nice ink (and perspective), Dannie. My wife has been thinking along the same lines for a few years now. Only... she wants me to design it. Even though I was an art major before my career in law enforcement, I'm not sure I'm up to the challenge of tastefully incorporating a flamingo(es), along with a palm tree(s), and choosing the ideal location. She has such a small frame, I'm not sure there's enough real estate for all that imagery.
