Well we are silver bullet owners pic's shown

Well,
I just inquired about buying one of these yesterday. I went ahead and bought the old stream. It had some very minor rot by the bathroom maybe 8x10" where battery goes. Everything does work but the stove is missing. The A/C still works with the wall thermostat. Also they replaced the middle fold down bed with a bigger bed. Some of the tambour doors are broke are they all? What do the big numbers that where on it mean? Here she is in all her glory let us know what you think?

That looks great. Congratulations. The big numbers were for the WBCCI club. When you joined you got the big numbers to go on the front. WBCCI is the Airstream club started by the original builder of Airstream trailers.

Great looking rig folks. Welcome to the forums. You are obviously someone who makes a quick decision and runs with it. There's a lot of pride of ownership with an Airstream. I'm sue you will enjoy yours immensely.

It sounds a bit awkward, but I've heard Airstreams are not fond of being jacked at the frame. Best to use roll on shims under the tires. You can use stabalizers, just don't carry any load on the frame.

Any other ideas out there?

Great looking A.S.!!!

Well,
I hope to get alot of travels out of her. I dont think I did too bad paying the $6,500 for her. Beats buying a new one at today's prices.

Howdy Matt -- and welcome to the Forums! Leveling the trailer should be done with stackable leveling blocks (try Camping World) or interlocking homemade 2x8s of different lengths. B.A.L. brand stabilizing jacks will keep your Overlander from rocking as you move about the trailer -- they should not be used to lift or level the trailer. I've seen T-type B.A.L. jacks at RV dealers but they are the wrong ones. Airstream specific B.A.L. jacks have longer shafts due to the mount position being back under on the frame. You'll want to talk to an Airstream dealer for these. Price them locally and then give Oasis RV in Tucson a call. Oasis is good but maybe the shipping on something this heavy would send you back to a local Airstream dealer. One of the other moderators speaks well for Camper Clinic in Buda (find at http://www.airstream.com/dealer_locator/index.html). Installing will involve drilling into the frame and air wrenching some self tapping screws -- something a lot of people might leave to the dealer.

What a beautiful Airstream. Picture perfect. A great 'find". Exceptional inside and out.
