Well she's home.

Finally picked up our 19 Bambi.

Pulled into dealer with a flat, perfect!

My truck is a Japanese imported Landcruiser, hitch guys were cursing it because it sits so high, they had to make up a special drop bar...

Just a quick question, it was quite windy coming home and the truck was working quite hard at highway speed, egt's around 800-900F (4.2 turbo diesel.) Should I be too concerned?

Anyway, today I'll be finally clearing out the garage and getting everything into the trailer.

I'll post a pic soon of trailer and tv.

Congratulations!

Wow,

Is your Airstream new?

A 4.2l turbo diesel? Please, pictures. Standard or manual transmission?

Sounds like a great combo just keep the motor in the rpm power band.

2005 19 Bambi. TV is a 1990 HDJ81 Landcruiser with 4.2 TD and 4 spd auto. Just researching wether to use OD or not while towing. Without a load my truck actually accelerates when going into OD!

Hi gowyn--Save your transmission--tow in drive, not OD. Fuel is still cheaper than a transmisssion rebuild.--Frank S
