Water Leaks

We are experiencing water leaks that seem to be coming up from the floor and into the carpets; we have a 1986 29' Sovereign. These leaks are in the middle of the floor with no overhead leaks! Any ideas?

Check your sewer vents on the roof, there's a rubber gasket in there.
Remove 4 screws simple.

Sewer Vents

UGH......another sewer vent strikes again!!!!

The rubber gasket that seals the vent pipe opening on the roof rots and splits......and then it leaks when it rains. The water runs down your sewer vent pipe and into the carpet around the opening where the vent pipe goes through the floor. You almost NEVER "see" this happening! And it runs on to the plywood sub-floor and then under your carpet and water soaks your carpet pad! ....... and many times, it runs on through the hole in the subfloor and into your holding tank pan.....where it slowly rusts and rots your tank pan!!! It's a slooooow process and you rarely ever notice it until it's too late!!! It can do major damage!! Been there, done that!! Bill

If you have to replace the carpet take a look at the floor, if it looks bad maybe replace with something else, carpet holds moisture. Rots floors
